Nocturnist NP/PA Locum Tenens Job – Inpatient Hematology/Oncology | Wisconsin
We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens nocturnist opportunity supporting an inpatient Hematology/Oncology/BMT service.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Saturday–Sunday and select holidays: 4:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Rotating nocturnist schedule
Details
- Provide overnight care for Hematology/Oncology/BMT patients
- Complete initial assessments, comprehensive histories and physicals, and admissions
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Develop and monitor treatment plans
- Respond to nursing and caregiver concerns and changes in patient condition
- Enter and communicate admission, transfer, and treatment orders
- Perform appropriately credentialed procedures
- Collaborate with fellows, attending physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Complete progress notes, procedure notes, and other required documentation in Epic
- Receive sign-out at the beginning of each shift and provide thorough sign-out to the daytime team
Preferred Experience
- NP or PA with inpatient/acute care experience
- Hematology, Oncology, BMT, or chemotherapy experience strongly preferred
- ACLS and BLS
- Appropriate NP/PA licensure and certification
- WI licensure is preferred
