Position : System Administrator 2 – Supporting a Government client in Annapolis Junction, MD. Responsibilities Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes. Support day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices. Identify, diagnose, and resolve Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) issues. Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers. Support the dispatch system and hardware problems, remaining involved in the resolution process. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, install/load OS software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components while implementing OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Minimum Qualifications Experience with Linux, MongoDB, AWS cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible. DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher. Ten (10) years’ experience as a System Administrator in similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or five (5) years of additional SA experience in lieu of the degree. Preferred Qualifications Extended experience troubleshooting IT systems and performing system capacity analysis and planning. Proficiency in tiered support (Help Desk and Escalation) with detailed analysis and feedback to management. Experience optimizing system operations and resource utilization. Strong knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems and related network component configuration. Salary $130,000 – $145,000 per year (general guideline only).
