Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated General Education Teachers for both Lower and Upper Elementary classrooms in Plainfield, NJ. Teachers will provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction while creating a structured, inclusive classroom environment that supports students' academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide standards-aligned instruction across core elementary subject areas.
• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons based on curriculum standards.
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and establish clear expectations and routines.
• Differentiate instruction to meet students' varying academic abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress.
• Identify students who require additional academic support and implement appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate student records and instructional documentation.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, support staff, and related service professionals.
• Communicate effectively with parents and families regarding student progress and academic needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Elementary School Teacher K–6 certification required and/or applicable NJ Middle School 5–8 endorsement .
• Substitute certification is not accepted.
• Previous elementary teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying learning needs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families.

Available Classrooms:

• Lower Elementary: Support younger elementary students through foundational academic instruction, classroom routines, and early skill development.
• Upper Elementary: Provide instruction and academic support to older elementary students while preparing them for continued academic success and the transition to middle school.

Location: Plainfield, NJ
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 17th
Schedule: 7:30am-3:30pm with 30 min lunch break; Full Time, Contract Length: 42 weeks
