Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

This is a travel position for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with experience in an operating room setting. The scheduled shift is from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM.

General Information

• Number of Staff: 33
• Patient Ratios: One RN and One OR Tech in each surgical room.
• Typical Equipment: Stryker Towers, Hana table, Alcon constellation/centurion, Lumera 700, Stryker Power & scopes, Neptune's.

• Knee Scope
• ACL Repair
• Rotator Cuff Repair
• Vitrectomy
• Laparoscopic Hernia Repair
• Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
• Bunionectomy
• Cataract Surgery
• Sling Procedures
• Hysteroscopy
• Cystoscopy
• Ophthalmology Cataract and Retina Procedures

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Minimum 6 months' experience as a CST.
  • Active BLS, NBSTA, and DORA Certifications.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Orthopedic experience (ACL's, RCR's, Knee Scopes, and total joints).
  • ENT experience (Septoplasty, SMR, T&A, Stapedectomy).
  • Instrument room experience.

Work Environment

Work includes a huddle that starts at 6:30 AM, with most surgical cases beginning at 7:00 AM. Shifts typically last between 8 to 10 hours, depending on the needs of the cases.
