The role is performed in a school environment, overseen by the Director of Technology Support Services. All staff are expected to fully adhere to the ethical standards set by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission, demonstrating a strong understanding of their responsibilities and a commitment to the best interests of students. Qualifications & Knowledge Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Information or Computer Science. Combination of education and experience may substitute. Technical certifications, training, and experience demonstrating cybersecurity, network protocols, and computer maintenance. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a technical service‑related field. Essential Functions Provide first and secondary level user technology support across multiple schools and administrative buildings, including students and staff in the operation of computers, software, and peripherals. Maintain, install, and configure computer equipment, peripherals, and software applications. Maintain routine maintenance records and logs. Facilitate operation, organization, and supervision of computers, peripherals, and software for designated areas. Assist users in the operation of computers, peripherals, programs, and other classroom and office technology. Maintain cooperative working relationships and customer service with site administrators and office staff. Assist in establishing procedures for computer equipment and software use. Ensure all computer‑related devices are operational. Maintain accurate inventory of records for all equipment and software. Document user instructions for technology devices and software. Deliver training for computing devices and software to end‑users and support staff. Provide escalated support and leadership to other technology support personnel. Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee/supervisor. Essential Personal Characteristics Adherence to legal statutes, organizational rules, and community standards.
