The Art History and Humanities Department at JCCC is looking to hire an adjunct to teach some art history courses starting Spring 2027. Deadline: September 1 —————————————- Department: Academic Affairs Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty Exemption Status: Exempt Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, hours per week varies. Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume. Position Summary: The Department of Art History and Humanities at Johnson County Community College is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Art History, to teach one or more sections of: ARTH: 180 Ancient-Medieval Art History and/or Teach one section of ARTH 182: Renaissance-Modern Art History. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Art History required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are required. Preferred Qualifications: Specialization in the area being taught is preferred. Experience teaching Art History is strongly preferred. *Unofficial transcripts are required for all Adjunct faculty and Faculty positions.
