Registered Nurse - Med-Surg Acute Care / Observation Unit

Location: Colorado

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shift including weekend rotation; must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit is responsible for delivering the highest quality of nursing care to patients. The RN will utilize their specialized knowledge and expertise related to critical disease states to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care, employing the nursing process effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive patient treatment.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Participate in call rotation as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Acute Care/Med-Surge/Telemetry RN experience required.
• Current RN License to practice in Colorado.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory from October 1st through April 1st - no declinations accepted.
