Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiopulmonary ICU Duration: 13 or 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in cardiac ICU or strong CCU experience required. License: Current Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong cardiac ICU experience Proficiency in managing advanced cardiac devices (e.g., LVAD, Impella, IABP) Experience with invasive lines and hemodynamic monitoring Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage patients with dysrhythmias Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse with substantial cardiac ICU experience. Expertise in caring for patients with advanced cardiac devices is essential. Familiarity with post cardiac surgery protocols is necessary. Experience in pre and post cardiac catheterization procedures is required. The patient ratio will be 2:1. Ideal candidates will manage care for cardiac and medical intensive care patients. Skills such as accessing and managing ports, and phlebotomy are necessary. The role involves monitoring and managing ventilated patients as well as administering blood products. Candidates should be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs. Experience with CRRT and ECMO management is preferred. Knowledge of isolation precautions and infection prevention is essential. Floating to other units may occasionally be required based on census needs. Candidates must demonstrate competency in the relevant skills and tasks for all assigned duties.
