Journeyman Electrician

About this Role Stimson Lumber Company in Tillamook is seeking an Oregon Licensed Electrician who is team‑oriented and possesses great problem‑solving skills. Schedule Swing Shift, specific days TBD Pay and Benefits Base pay: $42.00 to $55.00 per hour, with shift differential of $1.50 per hour. Overtime eligible at time and a half. Commute Pay: $350/month fringe benefit ($2.00 per hour). Healthcare: Stimson pays over 80% of premiums for medical, dental, and vision. 401(k): 100% match on first 6% of pay, plus up to 3% profit sharing. Bonus: discretionary bonus in profitable years. Responsibilities and Duties Provide preventive and predictive maintenance of the electrical distribution system. Interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, codes, ordinances, and other documentation. Continuously evaluate and analyze electrical quality and safety processes and procedures. Communicate with departments and outside vendors to ensure proper operation and maintenance of systems and equipment. Model, implement, and comply with company work and safety rules and related industry regulations. Safely install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including components of machinery and equipment. Identify new approaches or best methods to foster continuous improvement. If skilled in PLC programming, utilize knowledge to assist in designing and repairing electrical systems. Collaborate with team members and adhere to project timelines. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations, diagnose malfunctions, and recommend solutions. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 5 years of electrician maintenance experience and an Oregon electrician license or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience with MCCs, VFDs, conveying and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in preventive maintenance software. Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, codes, ordinances, and other documentation. Strong understanding of codes and ordinances; PLC knowledge is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team player, self‑motivated, with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Experience implementing safety procedures and establishing working relationships with maintenance, production, management, and vendors. State‑issued Journeyman Electrician license and compliance with local regulations.
