Job Description - Advanced Practice Provider Pediatric Hematology & Oncology (260007F6) Advanced Practice Provider Pediatric Hematology & Oncology - ( 260007F6 ) Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the inpatient Hematology/Oncology team at Rainbow Babies and Children's hospital. The APP will provide onsite care of admitted patients under supervision of attending pediatric hematology/oncology physician (offsite), admitting patients, order entry, and documentation. The schedule is Nights ( 5:30p-6:30a) and weekends( 6:30a-5:30p). APP and pediatric hematology/oncology experience preferred but not required. Pediatric NP or Family NP required. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Education Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required) (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required) Experience Qualifications 1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred) 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred) Skills, & Abilities Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency) Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency) Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and Maintain national PA Certification (Required) Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required) and Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr University Hospitals
