A day in the life

You arrive at a well-established manufacturing facility in the Lehigh Valley and start your shift by scanning open work orders in SAP. A quick preventive check on a PLC-controlled line prevents an unexpected stoppage. Minutes later, a radio call sends you to a packaging cell where you diagnose a drive fault, swap a motor, tension a belt, and bring the line back up. Before shift-end, you review blueprints for an upcoming changeover, update downtime logs, and coordinate a contractor to service a water softener while you complete boiler checks.

• Own daily plant upkeep with a focus on preventive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and PLC-controlled systems to minimize downtime
• Set up, adjust, assemble, and disassemble machinery; perform production changeovers
• Install and align motors, belts, drives, and related mechanical components
• Complete work orders on time; support special projects and continuous improvement
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and CAD drawings
• Document PMs, downtime, and work requests using SAP and PC-based systems
• Monitor and maintain building utilities, including boilers and water softeners
• Assist with building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Respond promptly to radio-dispatched maintenance calls across the plant
• Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors

• Starting pay up to $37/hr, based on experience
• Contract-to-hire and direct-hire openings
• Weekly pay for contract employees

• Hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strength in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Exposure to PLCs, motors, sensors, drives, and control systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
• Dependable, safety-first mindset and professional demeanor
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
