Commercial Credit Analyst Qualifications 5+ years experience in a bank as a Credit Analyst.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial Credit Analyst supports the lenders by underwriting credit extension requests for new and existing commercial clients. Responsibilities include performing detailed financial analysis on all lending opportunities, preparing credit approval and modification requests for presentation to the Loan Committee, conducting annual credit reviews, ensuring compliance with the Bank's credit policies and procedures, timely collection and distribution of interim and annual financial statements, and maintaining up‑to‑date financial information for reporting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze data (financial statements, agency reports) on prospective and active borrowing accounts and prepare written reports evaluating short‑ and long‑term prospects. Make recommendations to Loan Officers on granting or denying loans and prepare sufficient information (loan submissions) to document recommendations. Identify and interpret trends in financial data and key financial ratios (e.g., cash flow to debt service, debt‑to‑equity). Provide thorough documentation of all financial analysis via spreadsheets and written credit offering memoranda. Suggest a loan grade after conducting a thorough credit analysis and documentation review. Coordinate specific work tasks within the department to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
