Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit-3 East.

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Work Shift: Full-time, night shift 7p - 7a

Education: Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required). Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred). Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Certification/Licensure: Registered nursing License (Required). Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License. BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Experience: None required.

Department/Position Overview: The 3East - Intermediate Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General enjoys a supportive team environment and nurse patient ratio including a unit based nurse educator, team coordinator and manager. The unit has an active Partnership council and is currently involved with the hospital Magnet redesignation journey. All new grad RNs receive a 10 to 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment in the Transition to Practice Program. The patient population on this unit may include: sepsis, hemorrhage, stroke, cardiac, trauma, post op, substance withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis.
