Position Title :

Facilities Technician III

Reports to:

Director of Facilities

Job Summary :

The Facilities Technician 3rd Class Position will be required to perform, but not limited to, wood refinishing, painting, and repairs to plumbing, HVACR, mechanical, electrical, and kitchen equipment through a work order system and/or by management request.

Job Specifics:

• Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks on building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure a safe environment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities as directed by senior technicians.
• Respond to basic repair requests and complete assigned work orders.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to learn troubleshooting techniques and develop technical skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of facilities maintenance is preferred.
• The ability to use hand tools and power tools is required
• Must have open availability, to include nights, weekends, holidays, and be able to work without direct supervision.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a facilities environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Physical and Mental Requirements of the Job:

• Excellent communication skills
• Able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Able to work under pressure
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds

Customer Service Responsibility:

• Ensures that the club's customer service standards are maintained at an exceptional level.
• Presents self in a professional manner, including appearance, identification, and general communication and conduct at all times.
• Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of a positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily events.
• Listens effectively, responds to guests' requests in a friendly "can-do" manner.

Dependability :

• Attendance: Adheres to the established work-hour schedule. Follows established procedures for early notification to supervisor when unable to report to work. Call a manager 30 minutes before the shift starts to avoid an improper call-in.
• Punctuality: Arrives at work on time and works until authorized to leave.
• Attends all mandatory education/in-service programs and demonstrates understanding of responsibilities through appropriate actions.
• Demonstrates effective communication by utilizing positive verbal and non-verbal skills in all interactions.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and extra hours when needed.

Safety:

• Demonstrates adherence to the club's safe practice procedures and makes recommendations to improve safety. Reports any unsafe work practices to the supervisor.
• Consistently utilizes proper body mechanics in performance of responsibilities, as evidenced by supervisor's observation and no injury to self or others due to improper work habits.
• Follows proper reporting procedures when injured at work. Is aware of the location of material safety data sheets and refers to them when necessary.

• Assist with any special project as assigned by management.
