To learn more, visit Job Description Shift: Night shift Schedule: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; 2/2/3 rotating schedule Pay Rate: $20.10 Shift Premium: $1.00 Position Summary Manufactures sufficient quantities of high-quality materials at or below budgeted production costs to meet marketplace demand. Sets up blown film equipment operation, feed, speed, and temperature. Follows established procedures for operating various conventional manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, forming, gassing, loading, tapping, turning, inspecting, and pulling to fabricate, form, or shape manufactured parts, tools, or parts assemblies from raw materials. Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing. Resolves issues related to the organization’s production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations. Responsibilities are within the Manufacturing/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines. Responsibilities Interpret and use production schedules Unload rolls of tubing Inspect raw and processed materials for visual and measurable attributes Responsible for the quality of the product Perform minor maintenance and cleaning as required Thread materials through the inventory Perform quality checks on extruded materials and troubleshoot inconsistencies Continually monitor quality throughout the extrusion operation Ensure materials and equipment are available in advance Daily interaction with computer software, including data collection Communicate with Production Control as needed Operate specialised equipment necessary for the proper function of the extruders and mezzanine Clean screws Assist in receiving railcars by pumping raw materials into silos Operate radiation units in compliance with Cryovac, state, and federal regulations Operate forklift to transfer boxes of raw materials as needed Bale scrap material as needed throughout the shift Self-Manage and work harmoniously in a team environment Perform other duties as requested or needed to support the team environment Perform Product and Facility Sanitation duties as required Serve on a Team Resource team as needed Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED required 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience Computer Knowledge: 1-2 years of Windows applications. Proven ability to perform basic math and measurement tasks Blown film extrusion experience preferred but not mandatory Physical Requirements Frequent bending and lifting of items up to 40 pounds as needed (Lifting of items exceeding 40 pounds will require a two-person lift) Work with and around various solvents, corn starch and cleaning chemicals Access all work areas, including frequent climbing on stands, ladders and stairs Sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, and reach overhead as needed Stand on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts Push/pull objects as needed Drive a forklift (with training) Utilise fine manipulation skills (including but not limited to the use of a utility knife, scissors, tape measure, typing, writing, and hand tools) Must be able to distinguish colours for product quality purposes Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management at all levels Must follow all safety processes and procedures Utilise communication skills to effectively express both oral and written ideas individually or in group settings Utilise interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups Must be able to work overtime as scheduled Must be able to work every other weekend Able to work nights on 12-hour shifts Benefits And Perks 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Employee discounts Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid elder care Paid time off Parental leave Professional development assistance Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Sealed Air is committed to attracting, selecting, and developing talent that reflects the diversity of the communities and customers we serve.
