WhatYou'llDo

The Warehouse Associate / Back-up Driveris responsible forsupporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products. This role also serves as a back-up delivery driver, ensuringtimelyand safe transportation of goods to customers or job sites when needed.

Youwill:

Warehouse

• Receiving:

• • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, packing slips, or requisition todetermineitems to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  
  
  

• • Marks materials with identifying information.

  
  
  

• • Opensbales, crates, and other containers.

  
  
  

• • Verifies and records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

  
  
  

• • Drives equipment to transport items within the warehouse.

  
  
  

• • Usescomputerto enter records.

  
  
  

• • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

  
  
  

• Put away:

• • Sorts and places material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predeterminedsequencesuch as size, style, or product code.

  
  
  

• • Sortsand stores stocked goods inwarehouse.

  
  
  

• • Marks materials with identifying information.

  
  
  

• • Weighs or counts items for distribution withinwarehouseto ensure conformance to company standards.

  
  
  

• Picking:

• • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to customers and sales.

  
  
  

• • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.

  
  
  

• • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

  
  
  

• Packing:

• • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition todetermineitems to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  
  
  

• • Verifies the product that has been picked and documents discrepancies on an error log and has correct product re-picked.

  
  
  

• • Confirm tickets.

  
  
  

• • Usescomputerto enter records.

  
  
  

• Loading

• • Consolidatesfreight for shipping.

  
  
  

Driver

• Communicate with sales associates or managers through problem solving to meet customer needs.

• Acts in a helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and World associates.

• Ensuretruck isin safe operating condition andmaintainsa clean appearance.

• Ability tofrequentlylift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.

• Construct pallets based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.

• Participate in processes and programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

WhatYou'llBring

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma orequivalent

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record Required

Requirements:

• Ability to:

• • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  
  
  

• • Writeroutine reports and correspondence.

  
  
  

• • Add, subtract,multiplyand divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  
  
  

• • Compute rate, ratio, andpercent andto drawand interpret bar graphs.

  
  
  

• Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, the Internet

• Previousforklift/cherry picker experience

• Basic safety knowledge (i.e., proper lifting techniques, etc.)

• Ability tofrequentlylift, carry, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 75 lbs.

• Frequently requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching with arms, and constant use of hands.

• Continuous mental and visual alertness tomaintainsafety and achieve accuracy.

• Requires flexibility and mobility in body movements.

• Removing gates from flatbed trucks

• Occasionally,mayberequiredto lift items greater than 75lbs withassistance.
