California Licensed Assistant Controller

To support a rapidly growing consumer subscription business, the full-time California Licensed Assistant Controller will manage core accounting operations, financial reporting, and audit readiness while focusing on process transformation and automation in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Scale the accounting function by owning month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls Oversee subscription revenue accounting, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and accurate revenue recognition Lead systems implementations and process transformation initiatives, leveraging AI and automation for efficiency Required qualifications 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth environments Experience scaling a company from less than $100M to greater than $200M in revenue Significant experience in a consumer subscription business with recurring revenue models Proven track record in leading accounting systems implementations Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
