Manufacturing SupervisorThe Manufacturing Supervisor leads production operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output. This role champions plant safety programs and regulatory compliance, drives quality standards through training and coaching, and guides production teams to meet performance targets. The supervisor coordinates resources during equipment breakdowns, monitors key performance indicators, and develops operational plans that support overall business objectives while fostering a positive and engaged workforce.ResponsibilitiesChampion plant safety programs, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and risk assessment practices.Drive and uphold quality standards by training and coaching team members, performing root cause analysis of quality and safety issues, and implementing corrective actions.Lead production teams to achieve targets related to safety, reliability, efficiency, maintenance compliance, and waste reduction.Coordinate resources and troubleshooting efforts during equipment breakdowns and operational disruptions to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.Monitor, analyze, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, downtime, changeover performance, costs, and overall operational efficiency.Develop short- and long-term operational plans that align production activities with broader business objectives and strategic goals.Hire, train, coach, and develop employees, setting clear performance and attendance expectations and providing ongoing feedback and support.Foster positive employee relations by promoting open communication, collaboration, and a culture of engagement and continuous development.Lead continuous improvement initiatives using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and Lean principles to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance performance.Essential SkillsProven experience in manufacturing leadership within a production environment.Demonstrated ability in production supervision and production management.Strong knowledge of safety programs, regulatory compliance, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.Solid understanding of quality standards, maintenance practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.Experience leading teams and driving operational performance in a manufacturing setting.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.Excellent communication skills for coaching, training, and fostering positive employee relations.Effective leadership skills with a focus on employee engagement, development, and performance management.Ability to monitor and interpret KPIs such as productivity, downtime, changeover performance, costs, and operational efficiency.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience applying World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles to drive operational improvements.Experience in Lean methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing.Ability to develop both short- and long-term operational plans aligned with business objectives.Skill in coordinating resources and troubleshooting during equipment breakdowns and operational disruptions.Capability to support and promote a culture of safety, quality, and reliability across production teams.Why Work Here?You join a manufacturing environment that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on operational performance. Attire typically follows standard industrial safety guidelines, which may include appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing suitable for a manufacturing setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Columbia, MO.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $105000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
