This position maintains and repairs equipment, reduces downtime, and improves performance across mining, milling, and screening operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment and systemsPerform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment lifeRespond quickly to equipment failures to minimize production downtimeUse mechanical skills including welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshootingRead and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematicsIdentify root causes of failures and help implement long-term solutionsSupport and lead maintenance projects when neededMaintain accurate work orders and maintenance recordsAssist with spare parts planning and inventoryPromote a positive, safety-focused work environmentContinuous ImprovementParticipate in Lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance efficiencyShare knowledge and support training of team membersQualificationsBasic QualificationsStrong mechanical and troubleshooting skillsExperience with industrial equipment (conveyors, pumps, drives, hydraulics, etc.)Ability to read technical drawings and manualsSelf-motivated and able to work independently or in a teamStrong communication and problem-solving skillsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTrade training preferredIndustrial maintenance experience preferredValid driver's license requiredPhysical & Work EnvironmentAbility to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs (occasionally more), standing, climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces.Ability to operate tools, equipment, and mobile machinery safely.Capable of working in varying conditions, including noise, dust, and outdoor environments.Work ScheduleFlexibility to work assigned shifts, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-ins as needed.What Success Looks LikeEquipment operates reliably with minimal downtimeMaintenance is proactive rather than reactiveSafety standards are consistently followedContinuous improvement is demonstratedStrong teamwork and communication
