- Lead, design, and troubleshoot custom, innovative high-speed material handling equipment with precision instrumentation
- Understand the impact of the design on the production, and adjust accordingly
- Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, etc.
- Integrate new technologies into equipment and processes
- Perform continuous improvement activities
- Develop, document, and follow production processes
Sr. Mechanical Engineer Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Must have leadership experience in a manufacturing production environment
- Must be able to design, program and troubleshoot high-speed industrial machinesconveyors
- Must have industrial continuous improvement experience
- Must be able to problem solve and understand the impact of their work on operations and make adjustments
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes and material handling equipment
- Understand Engineering Design Principles with a strong aptitude in math and physics.
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as meters, wrenches, drills, saws, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operators and vendors
- Must be hands-on, willing to climb, use lift and harness, etc.
- Work around loud machinery requiring hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, etc.
