Career Skills Program - IT Support Specialist

About This Role The K-State Physics department is seeking a Career Skills Program or DoD Skillbridge intern to serve as an IT Support Specialist in the Physics Computing Support Center. The internship duration is 90 days. The IT Support Specialist intern will provide IT services in the Physics Computing Support Center, including: Ensuring Physics and Konza print technology are operational for all users. Assisting physicists with scientific software. Developing documentation for computer systems. Updating and maintaining the Microsoft and Linux software images. Using Windows Deployment Workbench to install images to computers. Managing users and groups in Active Directory. Ordering parts and software, and handling monthly billing and credit card reports.
