BMS Software DRE

The Battery Management Systems Design Release Software Engineer is responsible for working with Tier one BMS supplier and Internal development teams (BSW and ASW developers as well as requirements team) for developing and integrating BMS Software for advanced automotive battery pack from initial design concept through full volume production for XHEV software Applications.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead the planning and integration program HVBS software requirements that satisfy vehicle and HVBP level functional objectivesWork cross functionally with SW development (supplier or internal), SW validation, Calibration Diagnostics, FUSA and Architecture teams to manage SW release timing to meet Vehicle build and program timing needsLead interface for SW issue resolution for BMS Software on a component, pack and vehicle levelLead technical input for SW coordination and requirements alignment meetingsCoordinate HVBS change management for BMSSupport BMS Validation, SW development and troubleshooting as neededBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldA minimum of 1 year of relevant experience Understanding of Energy Storage Systems and Vehicle ElectrificationCANALYZER, CANOE and INCA proficiencyGood analytical and problem-solving skills Familiar electrification architectures including 48V, EV, HEV, PHEV and BSG systemsHighly motivated with self-motivationDVP&R and DFMEA basic understandingDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldAdvanced automotive battery design and testing experienceProduct Design and Release experienceRequirements Definition and ManagementChange Control and Issue Management TrackingBrand: FCA GroupJob ID: 2014060Employment Type: Full-timeJob Area: EngineeringPosted Date: 13/07/2026
