The Logistics Specialist will provide hands-on warehouse, hardware accountability, and deployment logistics support for federal client network modernization and technology deployment efforts. This position is responsible for receiving Government and contractor-furnished equipment, maintaining accurate property and inventory records, staging equipment for engineering provisioning, and preparing completed hardware for shipment to federal Districts, shore units, and individual cutter installations.

The ideal candidate has direct experience supporting DoD property accountability and logistics processes, including DD Form 1149, DD Form 250, shipping/receiving documentation, serial-number tracking, inventory reconciliation, and hardware disposition.

Warehouse & Hardware Receiving

• Receive, inspect, inventory, and document incoming network and IT hardware shipments
• Validate equipment quantities, model numbers, serial numbers, asset information, and shipment documentation against purchase orders and Government property records
• Identify shipping discrepancies, damaged equipment, missing hardware, or incorrect serial numbers and coordinate resolution
• Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and hardware accountability throughout the equipment lifecycle

Federal Property Documentation

• Prepare, review, and maintain DD Form 1149, DD Form 250, shipping manifests, packing lists, hand receipts, and related Government property documentation
• Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation for Government-furnished and contractor-acquired property
• Support property transfers between warehouses, provisioning facilities, federal districts, shore commands, and cutters
• Ensure all property records and supporting documentation are complete and audit ready

Inventory & Asset Tracking

• Maintain detailed hardware inventory including:
• Manufacturer and model
• Serial number
• Asset/property number
• Quantity
• Current location
• Provisioning status
• Destination unit/cutter
• Shipment and delivery status

• Perform inventory reconciliations and physical inventory counts
• Track equipment from initial receipt through provisioning, staging, shipment, installation, and final Government acceptance
• Maintain inventory tracking tools, spreadsheets, databases, or Government-approved logistics systems

Engineering Provisioning Support

• Stage and organize network hardware for engineering teams performing provisioning, configuration, software updates, STIG implementation, testing, and validation
• Maintain clear separation and status identification for equipment awaiting provisioning, actively being configured, completed, or requiring remediation
• Coordinate hardware movement between warehouse storage and engineering provisioning benches
• Track hardware through the provisioning workflow to ensure serial-number-level accountability

Deployment Preparation & Shipping

• Receive completed equipment from engineering and verify equipment against deployment requirements
• Relabel, package, palletize, and stage provisioned hardware for shipment
• Build deployment packages based on USCG District, shore-unit, or cutter-specific requirements

• Prepare equipment for:
• Large District or regional deployments
• Individual shore-unit installations
• Individual cutter installations
• Technical refresh and replacement activities

• Coordinate shipping documentation, labels, manifests, and delivery schedules
• Ensure hardware is properly protected, labeled, documented, and associated with the correct destination before release for shipment

Requirements

• 3+ years of logistics, warehouse, supply, property management, or hardware asset management experience.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense, DHS, or other Federal Government logistics/property operations.
• Working knowledge of DD Form 1149 and DD Form 250 processes and documentation.
• Experience receiving, inventorying, staging, packaging, palletizing, and shipping IT/network equipment.
• Demonstrated experience tracking equipment by serial number, model, quantity, location, and deployment destination.
• Ability to maintain accurate Government property and chain-of-custody records.
• Experience supporting physical inventory reconciliation and audit requirements.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, project managers, Government property personnel, contracting/logistics teams, and shipping providers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large quantities of similar network hardware without losing asset-level accountability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard inventory/logistics tracking tools.
• An active Secret clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior federal logistics, property, supply, SFLC, C5I, or cutter-support experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise network modernization or large-scale hardware refresh programs.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, or other network infrastructure equipment.
• Experience supporting hardware provisioning or configuration facilities.
• Experience with barcode scanning or serialized asset-management systems.
• Familiarity with Government property accountability requirements and Federal acquisition documentation.
• Experience coordinating equipment shipments directly to USCG cutters and geographically dispersed field units.
