About Our Facilities

Our organization operates Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that offer:

• Long-Term Care: Support for residents needing ongoing skilled assistance and compassionate daily care.
• Short-Term Rehabilitation: Services for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury.
• Collaborative Care: An interdisciplinary team approach involving nursing, therapy, and medical staff working in unison.

Position Responsibilities

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will:

• Deliver direct rehabilitation care in physical therapy to patients referred by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
• Participate in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication.
• Understand and adhere to the practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in a post-acute care environment.
• Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Exhibit competence in all required areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all proprietary and sensitive information.
• Comply with organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
• Uphold integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing all mandatory compliance training.
• Follow physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising PT.
• Utilize therapy software accurately and effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language proficiently.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).
