Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at a pediatric hospital in Wichita, Kansas. The role involves providing specialized care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and includes working day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The position offers an opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma designated unit with a focus on critical patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum 1-year current hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience, Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and eligibility to work in the United States
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified in Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), experience working at a pediatric teaching hospital, and experience with general Central Line Monitoring (CRM) and blood draws
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The unit is staffed with experienced staff and utilizes Meditech / CPN electronic medical records system. Candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced, teaching hospital environment, with a strong emphasis on patient care under pressure and team collaboration. The unit frequently performs procedures such as IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements.
