Lead Teacher

About the Role: Milwaukee Childcare Center of the A is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team in Milwaukee, WI! Responsibilities: Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards Lead and supervise classroom activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and milestones Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's growth and classroom updates Mentor and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare center policies Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or early education setting Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and early childhood development Valid CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills Ability to pass a background check per Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with children About Us: Milwaukee Childcare Center of the A has been a trusted resource for families in the Milwaukee, WI community, providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
