Registered Nurse (RN) Nursing Float Pool Full Time Night

Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Jersey City Medical Center, New Jersey. Full-time, Night Shift 7:00pm - 7:30am. Role and Responsibilities Nurses in our float pool are highly valued, as they are able to provide extraordinary care to patients across all populations, including trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, and alcohol withdrawal. The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age‑specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient’s age‑specific needs and determine age‑specific treatment modalities. Required Certifications and Licenses Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement BLS certification through the American Heart Association Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required; a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. 1–2 years of telemetry/medical‑surgical hospital experience required; intermediate care and ventilator experience preferred. Scheduling Requirements Night Shift: 7:00pm - 7:30am No set schedule: Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.
