Motion Designer

Responsibilitie

This is an internal innovative business team under ByteDance, focusing on researching products in segments related to new technology tracks and implementing AI-powered intelligent innovations. Responsibilities - Define the dynamic design language for the ecosystem, covering state changes, transitions, feedback, and AI behavioral expressions. - Design motion solutions for AI products and system-level experiences, making motion an integral part of the product interaction. - Create natural and semantic feedback for AI Assistants, Agent workflows, and multimodal interaction scenarios. - Build system motion specifications, including principles, rhythm, easing, and implementation standards. - Collaborate with UX, UI, and Engineering to ensure motion concepts are accurately implemented in live products. - Lead motion explorations for future concepts and high-impact product demonstrations.

Qualification

Minimum Qualification(s) - 4 years of experience in motion design, interaction animation, or related fields. - Exceptional sense of rhythm, timing, and physics-based motion with the ability to explain the rationale behind motion designs. - Proficiency in motion tools such as After Effects, Figma, ProtoPie, Rive, Lottie, or Blender. - Ability to work with engineers to define motion parameters and performance boundaries. Preferred Qualification(s) - Degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field. - Experience in mobile OS motion, AI product feedback systems, or real-time graphics. - Strong prototyping skills to quickly validate dynamic experiences.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $121600 - $208800 annually.


Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.


Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
