Senior Contracts Manager

Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Contracts Manager to support the Security Enterprise Solutions Business Area where we deliver and maintain state-of-the-art airport, ports & borders and critical infrastructure security screening products to government and commercial customers domestically and globally. In this role we are a critical engagement point between Leidos and customer stakeholders. A successful Senior Contracts Manager is self-motivated and enjoys learning about the entire business relationship, and how all the pieces fit together, to accomplish the program’s and Business Area’s objectives.The selected candidate must be bilingual (English and Spanish) and will manage Contracts support for a diverse portfolio of contracts primarily within the LATAM region.This is an individual contributor role and will report to the Contracts Director. Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals. This position shall be located in Vista, CA and will need to support multiple time zones, as needed with travel for customer meetings.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide the oversight and evaluation of RFPs and the resulting international and domestic proposalsManage contracts portfolio, lead contract negotiations, and identify risks and propose mitigation strategiesProactively engage with customer counterparts to be responsive to customer requirements; develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.Must be a consummate team player, routinely interacting with PMs, procurement, finance, project control, business development, legal and export control team membersImplement new solutions to achieve functional objectivesLead contract negotiationsSolution multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they ariseResponsible for overall contract compliance with assigned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, company policy and procedures, and applicable lawsIdentify risks and propose mitigation strategiesEnsure accurate and compliant contract execution through company’s systemsDrive efficient contract processing to support timely project and revenue executionSupport business operations by managing contract data integrity and system workflowsDeliver timely and accurate data insights to internal and external stakeholdersBasic QualificationsBA degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience; or Masters degree with 10+ years of prior relevant experience.Bilingual English/Spanish required (verbal and written): must be able to read, write, listen and speak fluently in Spanish to support Spanish-speaking customersCandidate must have in-depth knowledge of all contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, and Cost Plus)Proven experience with international and commercial contracts and customersProven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisionsStrong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers; proven history of building a team environment and fostering communication with the business and Contracts leadership team.Excellent contract review and negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditionsAbility to succinctly summarize and communicate complex informationAbility to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities is criticalCandidate must be able to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.Experience as Contracts lead on proposals is requiredWell organized with keen attention to detailCandidate must be proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.Proficient in use of technologyPreferred QualificationsExperience with products contracts is preferred.Proactive, solution-oriented mindsetExperience with AIContract change management experienceIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
