Sales Generalist

At Otis, we move people every day and help keep the world's buildings running safely and efficiently. We are seeking a motivated Sales Generalist to grow our repair, modernization, and service business throughout Oklahoma. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and developing new business. While you'll manage a select group of existing customers, your primary focus will be expanding our market presence, generating new opportunities, and helping customers find solutions that improve the performance and reliability of their elevator systems. No elevator industry experience is required. We will provide the technical training and support needed for your success.

On a typical day you will:

• Develop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on expanding Otis' repair, modernization, and service business across Oklahoma.
• Identify, prospect, and engage new customers through networking, referrals, market research, and strategic outreach.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, building owners, facility leaders, contractors, and other key decision-makers.
• Manage a select portfolio of existing accounts while prioritizing new business development and revenue growth opportunities.
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits, and presentations to understand business needs and recommend value-driven solutions.
• Identify building improvement opportunities and develop customized repair, modernization, and service proposals.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and track activity using Otis sales and CRM tools.
• Negotiate contracts and close business while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Partner with operations, service, repair, and modernization teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from opportunity through project execution.
• Stay informed on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities and drive territory growth.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred
• 2+ years of business development, outside sales, territory sales, or customer acquisition experience.
• Demonstrated success generating new business and developing customer relationships.
• Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling abilities.
• Self-motivation and the ability to manage a territory independently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Oklahoma.
• Ability to travel overnight occasionally (approximately 10% of the time).
• Desire to learn technical products and solutions through company-provided training.
