Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Perform diverse ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize the comfort and safety of patients throughout procedures, clearly explaining each step with empathy and care
• Engage closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images are obtained
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, addressing any technical issues promptly
• Document procedures accurately and maintain organized patient records in the electronic medical system
• Keep abreast of developments in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
