Entry Level Electrical Engineer

Join us as a Power Distribution Engineer and be part of a dynamic team that makes a real impact!What You'll Do:Design Engineering: Produce innovative engineering designs for energy distribution projects.Project Management: Prepare forestry trimming requests, facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, develop BOMs, estimate costs, and more.Support Major Projects: Work on major distribution projects for the utility industry using CAD for drafting/design work and ArcFM.Leadership Projects: Engage in projects related to electric power distribution and leadership, specifically make-ready and smart antenna.Construction Support: Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all standards are met.Site Inspections: Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections, and return to the office to perform engineering design work.Skills & Qualifications:Education: B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.Experience: 0-1 year of experience or basic knowledge in the electric utility industry, including primary and secondary distribution systems, utility standards, design software packages, and general construction knowledge.Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation/initiative, and a desire to learn.Communication: Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with all levels in the organization and with outside clients and agencies.Analytical Competence: Ability to interact with a variety of individuals, including engineers and experienced distribution system designers.Work Environment:Office Environment: 40 hours per week, with some overtime depending on deliverables (must be approved by leadership).Dress Code: Business casual.Travel: The role may require 5-10% travel.Why Join Us?Innovative Projects: Work on exciting and impactful projects.Career Growth: Opportunities for professional development and mentorship.Dynamic Team: Collaborate with enthusiastic and supportive professionals.Flexible Work Environment: Potential for a hybrid schedule after 6 months.If you're passionate about engineering and eager to start your career, we want to hear from you!
