High School Social Science Teacher

Teachers shall be committed to living a biblical lifestyle and called by God to teach at Calvary Christian School. A teacher must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and have a teacher certification or a commitment to become certified. Teachers shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development. CCS exists to provide, in partnership with home and church, a distinctive, Christ-centered education in a nurturing environment, which equips young people to excel in life and service to Jesus Christ. Teachers are contracted for one year by the Head of School. The teacher is expected to teach accelerated placement classes and an elective.Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith,Be a "born-again" Christian who knows the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior (John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:23).Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action toward others. This includes being committed to God’s Biblical standards for sexual conduct.Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose fundamental beliefs agree with this school's Statement of Faith (Hebrews 10:25).Have the spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to “train up a child in the way he should go.”Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in education and State of Illinois HS licensure in the content area.
