Overview

Welcomes guests by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries. Directs guests by maintaining department directories and giving instructions. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges and assisting departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone in a courteous manner
• Assist anyone who may enter the lobby doors
• Assist departments with daily paperwork and special projects
• Log and track appropriate paperwork
• Scheduling conference rooms
• Communication on building security
• Receive candidates for interviews
• Maintain the appearance of the lobby
• Open and close the lobby
• Schedule and receive tours

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated leadership abilities
• 40 wpm typing
• Detailed work and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions
• Ability to work independently and professionally
• Ability to work independently and follow through on projects
• Ability to prioritize and organize
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive areas
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under stress
• Word processing and spreadsheet skills
• Sit and intermittent walking
• Communicate (hearing & speech) with individuals in person and by phone in a tactful and courteous manner
• Visually read reports, computer screen, etc.
• Strong customer relation skills for conflict situations

• Performs miscellaneous duties for the department (i.e., collating manuals, replacing forms in the file, etc.)
• Performs other duties as assigned or needed
