Registered Nurse - PACU

Location

Chattanooga, TN

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM with call rotations.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring post-operative patients, managing pain levels, and ensuring overall patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients post-operation.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and report findings.
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers during intubations and other procedures.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 1 year of ICU/PACU experience is required.
• Must possess advanced skills including ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• CCRN and CAPA certifications are preferred.

Dress Code

Navy blue scrubs are required.
