RN – Endoscopy | Travel Assignment

Salem, VA

Position Details

• Experience Required: 2 Years
• Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Unit Information

• Endoscopy Procedure Rooms: 4
• Department Size: Approximately 25 staff members
• Patient Volume: 20–30 patients daily

Staffing Structure

• Day Shift: Primarily RNs with scrub techs and scope room techs
• Night Shift: On-call coverage only

Responsibilities

The RN will be responsible for:

• Admitting patients
• Circulating and scrubbing during procedures
• Recovering and discharging patients
• Providing patient care in a fast-paced procedural setting
• Participating in weekday and weekend call rotation

Procedures Performed

• EGD
• Colonoscopy
• ERCP
• Bronchoscopy

Equipment & EMR

• Scopes: Olympus
• Documentation System: Provation
• EMR: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification

Preferred Experience

• PACU experience
• ICU experience
