Common Bond Cafe Careers • Medical Center FOH Supervisor – Common Bond – Rice Village Full‑time · High school degree · $15.00 – $18.00 per hour The FOH Supervisor is responsible for how the front‑of‑house is run, working closely with the General Manager. The ideal team member is dedicated to fellow staff and to the guests we serve. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greeting customers with a smile and happy demeanor; engaging with and understanding our customers, including identifying and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication Maintaining complete knowledge of baked goods and the menu Supervising the front‑of‑house while upholding our standards of excellence and hospitality Ensuring positive guest service in all areas, responding to guest complaints in a professional manner and taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests Informing the General Manager of any foreseeable shortages before items run out Enforcing sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of dining areas while being compliant with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances Ensuring consistent high‑quality service Maintaining a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards Developing employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations Taking orders from guests and packing all retail items and bread orders carefully and efficiently Running food and drinks to customers in a timely fashion Rotating stock using the FIFO method Maintaining good attendance and punctuality Being available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays Meeting store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security Preparing and packaging food and beverages to our high‑quality standard recipes, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients Performing many different tasks within the store during each shift Additional duties as assigned Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to learn quickly A food handler’s and TABC certification where required by local and state health code regulations Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to build and maintain relationships Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
