Prime Time Associate Blue Springs Multiple Locations - Blue Springs, Missouri Open in Google Maps Job Details Job ID: 5696009 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Re-Posted: Jul 01, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: To Be Determined Job Description Prime Time Associate Blue Springs School District 2026-2027 Position Summary: The job of Prime-Time Associate is to provide support to the educational process with specific responsibility for organizing and directing age-appropriate activities for students; preparing and serving snacks; aiding with homework; and assisting in maintaining a clean and safe learning environment for students in the Prime-Time Program. This role reports to Prime-Time Site Lead. This position is a Part-Time (up to 19.50 hours per week) non-benefits eligible position. Beginning pay for this position is as follows: Minimum $15.35 per hour to maximum $21.35 per hour. High School Diploma or Equivalent. MUST BE 16 YEARS OF AGE. Essential Functions Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as instructed by a health care professional for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs. Assists the Prime-Time Lead with organizing and monitoring appropriate activities (e.g., games, art, music, science, language, nutrition, playground, washing hands, etc.) for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing play and academic concepts. Communicates with teachers, parents, and/or appropriate community agency personnel for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing Prime Time Program objectives. Distributes instructional and/or play materials and assists with set up of classrooms for the purpose of providing required supplies to be ready for student learning. Escorts children directly from/to classes, parents, guardians, or designee for the purpose of ensuring safety of children and meeting established custodial guidelines. Manages various support and related clerical activities (e.g., preparing attendance reports, assembling/hanging materials on bulletin boards and keeping displays current, operating standard school equipment such as laminator, copier, audiovisual, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the Prime-Time Program is running smoothly. Maintains program equipment and work areas (e.g., toys, games, instructional tools, computers, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of items and/or providing a safe learning environment. Monitors individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g., playground activities, snack time, group/individual games, lunchroom, field trips, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. Organizes indoor/outdoor, quiet/active play activities appropriate to age group for the purpose of actively participating in learning activities with children. Prepares logs, reports, and documents (e.g., monthly lesson plans, supply lists, behavioral/accident reports, etc.) for the purpose of conveying information, providing written reference, and/or meeting mandated requirements. Promotes good habits through interactions with other kids for the purpose of improving the quality of students outcomes and encouraging student development on good social and personal skills. Other Functions Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Prime-Time Program. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Skills required include adhering to safety practices; controlling and motivating students; and preparing and maintaining accurate records. Knowledge required includes basic math, reading manuals, writing documents, understanding instructions; stages of child development; age-appropriate activities; and positive reinforcement techniques. Ability required to schedule activities; collate data; use job-related equipment; communicate with diverse groups; maintain confidentiality; work as part of a team; problem solving; adapt to changing priorities. Work Environment Physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; significant fine finger dexterity. Requires 10% sitting, 45% walking, 45% standing. Minimal temperature variations; exposure to risk of injury and/or illness. Noise level moderate to loud. Information for ADA compliance. Additional duties may be assigned. Experience : Job related experience desired. Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Must be 16 years of age. Equivalency : Typical qualifying background includes high school diploma or GED with one-year experience in day care or related work.
