Pediatric dietitian needed! First-time travelers accepted! Two years work experience with at least two years of pediatric acute care experience. Five eight-hour shifts per week from 8am to 5pm. Floating required. Weekend coverage generally rotates with IP adult team every two months or as needed. Certifications required: RD/RDN. Skills required include enteral and parenteral nutrition, adult outpatient/clinic, acute MI, elevated cholesterol/triglycerides, heart failure, diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, low blood sugar, abdominal wounds and surgeries, chronic diarrhea, hyperemesis, IBS, pressor use and effects on GI functioning, cirrhosis, dialysis/hemodialysis/CRRT, kidney disease - acute/chronic, blood glucose/A1C, lipid panel, diuretics, immunosuppressants, insulin, laxatives, steroids, dysphagia, appetite stimulants, aspiration safety, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), fluid balance, nutrition therapy complications, therapeutic diet orders, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), assess fluid status, cachexia, cancer, chronic wounds, metabolic demands, morbid obesity, nutrient deficiencies, nutrition assessments/reassessments, nutrition focused physical exam (NFPE), protein calorie malnutrition, refeeding syndrome, acute care hospital/ICU experience, teaching hospital and academic center (interdisciplinary teams, cutting edge research, evidence-based development, opportunities to participate and shape protocols and programs as interested).
