Traveling Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Treatment (Owner's Representative) Texas – project-based travel across active sites (Relocators Encouraged to Apply) Up to $160,000 Base Salary + $800-$900 per month Vehicle Allowance + Fuel Card + Bonus + Expenses & Accommodation Covered on Project Assignments + 401(k) + Medical/Dental/Vision + PTO Are you a Project Manager with commercial, institutional or heavy civil construction experience who wants to sit on the owner's side of the table instead of the contractor's? The Value Proposition Integrated Water Services designs water and wastewater treatment plants and delivers them for municipalities, national homebuilders and food and beverage clients. On these projects IWS engages a General Contractor to build the plant, and puts its own Project Manager and Project Engineer in place to run the job as the owner's representative on-site. You are the face of the project on behalf of the owner/client, and you will have full oversight of the schedule, the budget, forecasting and reporting; manage the GC and its subcontractors; work directly with the in-house design services team and vendors; and be the face of the project to the end client. You will also be expected to lead, manage, and mentor the Project Engineer working alongside you. IWS has several projects live across Texas at varying stages, and the role is set up so that a Project Manager can hold more than one at a time rather than sitting on a single site. Travel is primarily within Texas, with expenses & accommodation covered, weekends at home. There is flexibility for a hybrid schedule to work from home for part of the week when the projects allow it. The role reports to the SVP of Municipal Solutions and works closely with the Director of Project Management, so you will have direct exposure to executive leadership within the company. Candidate Background, Skills, and Experience Must have experience managing commercial, institutional or heavy civil construction projects. Water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable but not essential. Must be genuinely happy to travel. Active project sites across Texas, on the road during the week, home at weekends. If travel is something you'd tolerate rather than choose, this isn't the role. Must be comfortable managing a General Contractor and its subcontractors as the Owner's Representative, and holding them to schedule and budget. Must own and lead scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting rather than support them. Must be comfortable operating in a client-facing capacity - municipalities, national homebuilders and food and beverage clients. Must be tech savvy and easily trained on software - MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore and Bluebeam experience desirable but not essential. Must be based in or around Texas (we can provide relocation assistance if required). Candidates in neighboring states who will genuinely travel into Texas will be considered. Military service and/or a Construction Management degree viewed positively.
