The Journeyman Electrician plays a crucial role in electrical system installation, maintenance, and repair as part of a small team. This position requires regular travel to multiple sites and focuses on ensuring safety compliance and adherence to electrical codes while providing reliable service to customers. It offers a stable work environment with routine tasks that support professional consistency.
Responsibilities
- Install electrical systems and components according to specifications and blueprints
- Perform circuit testing and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes
- Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams accurately
- Conduct wiring and circuit installation tasks efficiently
- Maintain open communication during customer interactions
- Collaborate effectively within a small team environment
- Travel regularly to various job sites as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical work
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training in electrical technology
- Journeyman Electrician License
- Strong knowledge of electrical code compliance
- Proficient in circuit installation and troubleshooting
- Skilled in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiar with safety procedures and regulatory standards
- Experienced with hand and power tools
- Competent in electrical testing techniques
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
