The Special Projects Group at KPFF is growing and were looking for a motivated collaborative entry-level Civil Engineer to join our tight-knit team in Tacoma WA . Youll work on projects that matter from sustainable port facilities to habitat restoration projects that protect our Pacific Northwest ecosystems. What Youll Be Doing:

Civil Design That Makes a Difference:

• Work on meaningful projects where youll see your impact from designing stormwater systems and habitat restorations that protect the Puget Sound to creating clean power infrastructure for cruise terminals that welcome visitors from around the world
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects including port facilities fisheries habitat restoration small boat harbors marinas and railway infrastructure
• Address real-world challenges using both proven methods and emerging technologies with mentorship from experienced engineers who want to see you succeed
• Contribute to waterfront and industrial developments that balance economic growth with environmental stewardship projects that help shape Tacomas and the Pacific Northwests sustainable future

Qualifications :

Who Were Looking For:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
• Willingness to work on a variety of projects
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
• Excellent teamwork communication and interpersonal skills.

Where We Work Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Our office is located in the Old Town neighborhood of Tacoma with convenient access to I-5 and views of Commencement Bay just steps from restaurants and coffee shops.
• Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
• Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
• Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking standing kneeling or navigating uneven terrain. Site visits occasionally require being in a boat.
• Traveling to project sites or client meetings which may involve driving or flying.

How We Compensate:

The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidates experience education and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 0-3 years of experience is $87000-$105000 . Additionally we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
