About the Position

Job Title: Professional RN Team Lead Profession: RN Specialty: SNF Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8.5 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Every other weekend and holiday required. Ability to drop to LPN position as staffing permits and needs. Description: The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization. Direct patient care may include assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting changes in patients' conditions. The Professional RN Team Lead collaborates with the care team. Participation in interdisciplinary care and advocating for patients is essential. They must be able to drop down to an LPN Med Cart position as needed and as staffing permits. The Professional RN Team Lead demonstrates effective time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization. Advocacy for patients is a critical component of the role. They practice ethically and professionally within their scope. The position promotes evidence-based practices related to patient care. Maintaining clinical competence specific to the care area is required. Coordination of care with the interdisciplinary team is expected. Effective communication is essential, and documentation must be thorough in the electronic medical record (EMR). Participation in unit councils and staff meetings is encouraged. The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds and sitting or standing for long periods. The employee must be able to physically operate the required equipment for the job. Floating to other units is permitted as staffing allows. This is a 40-hour workweek position. Staffing ratios for this shift are 1 RN, 2 LPNs, and 3-4 CNAs for a total of 40 residents. Scrubs of any color may be worn by the employee.
