Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to accommodate diverse learning abilities.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students with disabilities.
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and support professionals to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and documentation .
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and school policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Certification:
  • State-issued Special Education Teaching License .
  • Additional certifications in Autism, Behavioral Interventions, or Learning Disabilities preferred.
• Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience as a Special Education Teacher (preferred).
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, instructional strategies, and behavioral management .
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills .
  • Ability to work with students of various ages and learning disabilities .
• Travel Readiness: Willingness to relocate for temporary travel assignments .
