And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.This position will be a key member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the final design, development, production, integration, test, and delivery of this critical capability focused on the requirements development, decomposition, and verification.As a Staff System Engineer, you will be responsible to execute and manage Systems Engineering projects, IRADs, or Proposals.Some of the roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Support IRAD and proposal efforts for the SEIT team, including system design, analysis, test, and integration activitiesOrganize and support major program reviews for subsystems, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TIMEnsure completeness of converting mission requirements into system solutionDefinitize the system architecture and subsequent designDevelop/define interfaces between critical elementsPerform the necessary analysis to accomplish mission requirement conversion, architecture definitization5+ years professional experience.Active DOD TOP SECRET The information below includes the standard job description for this positionPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Basic QualificationsExperience in systems engineering across the entire lifecycleExperience supporting trade studies (definition and execution) and requirements development/managementWorking knowledge or experience with systems integration, design, and test activitiesExperience working either Satellite or Ground Segment programsExperience owning or supporting Technical Performance Management (TPMs) for a development programActive or current Top Secret clearance, thus US citizenship is requiredDesired SkillsBachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a closely related technical disciplineAptitude to perform functional and performance-based thread engineering/CONOPsStrong communication and teamwork skills5+ years of Systems Engineering and/or Architect experienceBackground in architecting and/or designing communication subsystems (e.g., RF, optical, digital), for space missionsExperience defining, developing, or tailoring Digital Models of complex systemMBSE knowledge or experienceKnowledge or experience with missiles, defense, aerospace, or related systemsProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
