CT Tech

The CT Tech performs CT procedures and patient care requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for obtaining optimal image quality and exceptional service. Responsibilities include all aspects of CT imaging procedures requiring a sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology. The CT Tech will independently select and modify technical factors to produce optimum CT scans while prioritizing patient welfare, confidentiality, and comfort. The role involves working in an emergency department setting with trauma, stroke, CTAs, and perfusion cases. The CT Tech must be capable of manipulating patient transfer equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients. Adaptation to a fast-paced daily workload is necessary, as is effective communication. Knowledge of CTA and perfusion is preferred. The CT Tech will work on advanced imaging equipment and must have the ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge is required.
