Registered Nurse - Telemetry | Travel | Hazel Crest, IL

Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Telemetry for a travel assignment in a supportive care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical-surgical and telemetry patient types, including dysrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization, and more. Familiarity with high-acuity cases will be advantageous.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Unit 4 East/West
• Location: Hazel Crest, IL
• Shift Details: 3x12 Nights
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2322 (negotiable)
• Charting System: EPIC
• Number of Beds: 42
• CNA ratio: 1:10-12
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Expectations: Summer - 2 of the 3 holidays; Winter - 1 per group

Responsibilities

• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry monitors
• Perform wound care and dressing changes
• Start peripheral IVs and manage central/PICC lines
• Administer non-titrating drips such as amiodarone and Cardizem
• Handle NG tube insertion and maintenance
• Coordinate with support staff including CNA, phlebotomy, and resource nurse

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 18 months of experience in a relevant setting
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, and wound care
• Experience with EPIC charting system
