Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE Required) Locations: Atlanta, GA | Birmingham, AL | Charlotte, NC | Dallas, TX | Lexington, KY Alpha Executive Search is partnering with a nationally recognized engineering and design firm to identify a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will play a key role in leading the design and execution of complex industrial and commercial facility projects. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, collaborating across disciplines, and serving as a technical leader throughout the entire project lifecycle. Whether you've recently earned your PE or bring extensive leadership experience, we’re interested in speaking with engineers who have strong mechanical design expertise and advanced Revit capabilities. What You'll Do Lead mechanical design efforts for large-scale industrial and commercial projects Design HVAC, piping, utility systems, and equipment layouts Develop engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documents Collaborate closely with architectural, structural, electrical, and automation teams Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project planning discussions Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Support projects through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Active Professional Engineering (PE) License REQUIRED Experience designing HVAC, piping, utility, and mechanical systems for industrial or commercial facilities Knowledge of applicable building codes and standards, including IBC, ASHRAE, and NFPA Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects Preferred Experience Industrial manufacturing, food & beverage, automotive, distribution, mission-critical, or commercial facility experience Experience with BIM workflows and additional 3D modeling platforms Experience leading complex engineering projects Experience mentoring engineers and supporting cross-functional project teams Familiarity with automation and controls integration Please note: Candidates must possess an active Professional Engineering (PE) License and hands‑on Revit design experience to be considered for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
