Warehouse WorkerThe warehouse worker receives, stores, and issues materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. This role ensures inventory is accurately recorded, properly stored, and safely handled while supporting efficient order fulfillment and maintaining a clean, compliant facility.ResponsibilitiesReceive incoming stock items, count quantities accurately, and record data manually or using a computer system.Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.Verify inventory records by comparing system data to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or correct errors as needed.Store items in an orderly, accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas.Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure clear and accurate identification.Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to comply with safety regulations and support a safe working environment.Keep detailed records of stock usage, damage, and the condition of stock handling equipment.Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage and promptly report any issues to supervisors.Provide assistance and direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support smooth operations.Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock locations based on turnover, environmental factors, and facility capabilities.Work with a strong sense of urgency and purpose to support timely shipment of life-saving prescriptions.Perform manual tasks such as opening items, filling containers, checking orders, and placing orders within various departments.Stand for extended periods and perform physical activities including pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.Essential SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions, document inventory, and collaborate with team members.Analytical and problem-solving ability to identify inventory discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.High level of attention to detail to ensure accurate counting, labeling, and storage of stock items.Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.Ability and willingness to work a flexible shift schedule.Ability to stand for at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.5–7 years of relevant warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience.High school diploma or GED.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inventory processes, including counting, tracking, and reconciling stock.Hands-on experience with picking and order picking in a warehouse or distribution environment.Material handling experience, including moving, organizing, and storing products safely.Proficiency in packing items for storage or shipment with attention to accuracy and protection of goods.Experience using RF scanners for inventory management and order processing.Comfort working across multiple departments performing tasks such as manual opening of items, filling containers, checking orders, and placing orders.Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a laid-back yet high-impact environment.Commitment to following strict safety, security, and dress code policies.Why Work Here?Employees contribute directly to shipping millions of life-saving prescriptions across the country, making a meaningful impact on people's health every day. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with approximately four to five departments, where specialists may manually open items, fill containers, check orders, and place orders. Employees may have one earbud in to listen to music while working and may carry their phone in a pocket, but phones must remain out of use on the floor, and repeated violations of this policy can lead to termination. The dress code allows jeans, khakis, dress pants, capri pants (no shorter than mid-calf), scrubs, t-shirts, polo shirts, sneakers, closed-toe shoes, leggings, sweatpants, spandex pants, jackets, hoodies, and sweaters without pockets. Sleeveless shirts, shorts, scarves, dangling jewelry, jackets, hoodies, or sweaters with pockets, clothing with inappropriate words or graphics, hats or head coverings, ripped clothing or clothing that shows skin, exposed midriffs, and pajama pants are not permitted. Employees should expect to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
