CAD Technician

CAD TechnicianSTV is seeking a CAD Technician with 5+ years of experience to support transportation and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will provide CADD production support for roadway and transit projects, working closely with engineers and designers to develop accurate, standards-compliant drawings and models.***** OpenRoads, OpenBridge, OpenBuildings proficiency is required to be considered**********No sponsorships are available for this position*****Position ResponsibilitiesDevelop, update, and maintain roadway and transportation design drawings and models using OpenRoads, OpenBuildings, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.Produce plans, profiles, cross-sections, and construction documents in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.Collaborate with civil engineers and BIM leads to translate engineering concepts into coordinated CAD/BIM deliverables.Perform QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with state DOT, transit agency, and federal standards.Manage, organize, and maintain project files using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.Support coordination across disciplines and assist with design updates throughout various project phases (concept through construction).Required QualificationsAssociate's degree or technical certification in CAD, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.2 or more years of experience supporting civil or transportation engineering projects.Proficiency working within Bentley Open products and AutoCAD-based platforms.Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers using CAD and BIM workflows, including Revit when required.Experience supporting projects for MTA, Port Authority, NJ Transit, and/or NYSDOT.Strong ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and design standards.Technical SkillsOpenRoadsOpenBuildingsOpenBridgeMicroStationCivil 3DAutoCADProjectWise (or similar document management systems)Nice to have skillsExperience with multi-discipline coordination in BIM environmentsFamiliarity with agency-specific CAD/BIM standards and naming conventionsExperience working on large-scale transportation or transit infrastructure projectsKey CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyEffective communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlinesProactive approach to problem-solvingCompensation Range:$66,320.00 - $75,364.00STV offers the following benefits • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
